  Bell's Palsy / Facial Weakness

The nerve that controls the movement of the face passes through the ear. Each side of the face is controlled by its own facial nerve. Facial weakness, or paralysis Bell’s Palsy is a serious medical condition which requires immediate attention. If the facial weakness is accompanied by other symptoms such as weakness of the body, arms, or legs, visual changes, or slurred speech this is a medical emergency, call 911.
